Chris and Henry, sons of Christian and Johanna Hinte of the Ruhr District, of Germany. The boys, immigrated to the United States of American, in April of 1881. The area of Germany that they came from was a coal mining area. A group of young men and there families came to the State of Ohio by way of Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada. Most of the young men found work in the coal mines, and the Hintes ran rooming houses. They moved a few times and then settled down in Corning, Ohio. Around the 1900s Henry and family all moved to Saginaw Michigan. And Chris and family moved to Sun, West Virginia. Henry and his wife Amelia, had the following children, Carl, Fred, George, Emma, Emil, William, Robert and Henry. Chris and his wife Anna, had the following children Herman, Katherine, Annie, Henry, Mary, William, Millie, Chris, Nattie, and Charley. We have now found that Chris and Henry, also had a older brother Wilhelm Hinte who married Margaretha Korte, on November 27, 1869 in the Evangelical Lutheran Church, Mulheim a.d. Ruhr, Germany. Also a sister Helena (Caroline) Hinte, not much is known about her.
